When I’m designing, I generally think of the user as an individual, not as consumer. This simply concept is like a whip to keep the designer on the right way.

The living human being as user of my products is my inexhaustible source of inspiration and a big professional challenge on the way to even better “human tools“.

Also inspiring is the barren but beautiful northern countryside, which provides nothing superfluous. Likewise, the designer should strive for utmost simplicity. Once achieved, it is rewarded by smooth production and well functioning products; no applause – however, satisfied customers. This Scandinavian Design is shown on Humantool products.

At all times, objects from all over the world could be associated with their places of origin. In my opinion, this phenomenon will enjoy an increasing comeback. The products made for our affluent society, which are container shipped to the most remote regions, can no longer please everyone’s needs. These might be the first vague signs of a warmer tomorrow and a more interesting world.
